McHenry County Bar Association

The McHenry County Bar Association was founded in 1915. Its membership consists of judges, paralegals, and lawyers specializing in a wide of array of practice areas. The bar association remains committed to its goals of advancing the interest of its member and improving legal services to the county.

The public can search for local attorneys through the McHenry County Bar Association’s Attorney Referral Service. The bar association also holds a Law Day Essay Contest for students in grades 6-8. Winners receive a number of prizes and are honored at an awards ceremony hosted by the bar association.

Membership in McHenry County Bar Association also provides access to a number of benefits. Members are listed on the bar association’s online directory and its Attorney Referral Service. They also receive the bar association’s newsletter. In addition, the bar association hosts CLE courses and social events throughout the year, including a golf outing. It also has operates a lawyer-to-lawyer mentoring program for new attorneys.
