Maine Trial Lawyers Association

Created in 1968, the Maine Trial Lawyers Association (MTLA) works to support the litigation attorneys in Maine who primarily represent plaintiffs. The association serves as Maine’s affiliate of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. The Maine Trial Lawyers Association allows all Maine attorneys and law students to join.

Lawyers often join MTLA in order to enjoy the many perks that membership offers. For example, the Maine Trial Lawyers Association provides inexperienced members with gain courtroom experience by attending MTLA’s College of Trial Advocacy two-day training course. Attorneys belonging to the Maine Trial Lawyers Association requiring assistance with a challenging case can obtain advice and guidance from more experienced members by consulting with the case evaluation and strategy clinics.
