The Minnesota Association for Justice was incorporated in 1954 as the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association. The organization was officially renamed in April 2007 as the Minnesota Association for Justice because the association felt that they were standing up for the rights of all individuals.

The Minnesota Association for Justice provides many benefits for its members. These benefits include several networking opportunities that are made up of conventions and seminars. Members also receive monthly and quarterly publications that update them on the status of the Minnesota Association for Justice and on pertinent legal issues facing the court system.
