Created in 1884, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA) was established for the benefit of the attorneys working in the greater Kansas City area. The KCMBA is committed to assisting its members in their professional development, promoting a positive image of the legal profession, and aiding the public in accessing and understanding the judicial system. Although the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association is based in Kansas City, regular membership is open to lawyers throughout the state.
