Created in 2010, the Middle District of North Carolina Chapter of the Federal Bar Association (FBA MDNC) serves the Federal legal community living and working in the central part of North Carolina. The FBA MDNC was established to help maintain the community of federal law practitioners in North Carolina’s Middle District and to provide its members with opportunities to further their legal education. Since all of the activities that the Middle District of North Carolina Chapter hosts are located within the middle region of the state, the majority of the chapter’s members work in the Middle District of North Carolina.

The FBA MDNC enhances its members’ knowledge of federal law and the federal judicial system in a number of different ways. Once in the fall and once in the spring of each year, the Middle District of North Carolina hosts a continuing legal education seminar and dinner in order to give its members both an opportunity to network with one another and to learn some helpful new practice tips or about the newest developments in a specific area of federal law. Attorneys that belong to the FBA MDNC also receive summaries of recent federal court decisions that may impact their current and future cases, as well as updates from the Clerk of Court for the United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina.
