North Carolina Society of Health Care Attorneys

As the state organization affiliate of the American Health Lawyers Association, the North Carolina Society of Health Care Attorneys (NCSHCA) strives to serve the portion of North Carolina’s legal community that is involved in health care law. The NCSHCA provides support to health care lawyers in North Carolina by encouraging collegial interactions among its members and sharing information about important aspects of health care law in North Carolina. While regular membership is reserved only for attorneys that either work in North Carolina or for a North Carolina company, health care professionals are encouraged to join as associate members in order to allow them to be active in the health care legal community of North Carolina.

There are several ways that the NCSHCA ensures that its members continue to develop professionally. At least twice each year, the North Carolina Society of Health Care Attorneys publishes a newsletter for its members containing several educational articles about new pieces of health care legislation and important updates for significant cases involving North Carolina’s health care laws. Members are also given the opportunity to learn more about recent developments in the health care legal field in person at the annual meeting and continuing legal education seminar.
