The Trumbull County Bar Association (TCBA) was founded in 1879 and currently has 374 members. For many years the Trumbull County Bar Association operated out of the county courthouse, but in 1997 it moved to the county law library. The mission of the TCBA is to uphold the integrity of the legal profession, provide local lawyers with professional development opportunities, and improve the community through outreach efforts.

The Trumbull County Bar Association provides a number of events, educational opportunities, and community service events for their members to participate in. These events include CLE’s, a holiday toy drive, and an awards and officer installation banquet. The TCBA also has a number of specialty committees, which members are encouraged to join. Some of these committees are the young lawyers committee, mock trial committee, and pro bono committee. The Trumbull County Bar Association is also responsible for attorney discipline and administering the notary public exam.

Membership in the Trumbull County Bar Association is open to licensed attorneys and to become a member you must fill out an application form. On top of submitting the application form a potential member must also pay an annual due, which ranges from $0 for newly admitted attorneys to $100 for attorneys who have been in practice more than five years.
