Northeastern Tennessee Chapter of the Federal Bar Association

The Northeastern Tennessee Chapter of the Federal Bar Association supports the federal legal community living and working in the part of the state that the Northeast Division of the Eastern District of Tennessee encompasses. The Northeast Division of the Eastern District of Tennessee covers the ten counties that form the northeastern tip of Tennessee. In order to allow for the Northeastern Tennessee Chapter to best serve the lawyers working in these ten counties, membership to the Northeastern Tennessee Chapter is restricted to only attorneys that are Federal Bar Association members and work or live in the Northeastern Division.

There are several reasons why lawyers working in the federal courts of northeastern Tennessee choose to join the Northeastern Tennessee Chapter for a number of reasons. Attorney members never miss the annual Law Day speaker lunch, at which they can earn continuing legal education credits. The Northeastern Tennessee Chapter also honors important former members of the local federal practice community each year at the memorial service that it hosts and the local federal courthouse in Greeneville.
