In 1904, the Tarrant County Bar Association was officially established with the intent to improve the practice of law in the area. Even though the association has changed its name many times in the past hundred years, its mission has always stayed the same. This voluntary bar association is open to any attorney that is licensed to practice in the state of Texas.

The members of the Tarrant County Bar Association receive many benefits with their membership dues. These include great Continuing Legal Education classes as well as custom CLE classes. In addition, members also get discounted subscription rates to LexisNexis and can also be listed in the association’s Lawyer Referral Program.

The Tarrant County Bar Association also offers many services to the public, including a free legal advice hotline. On the second and fourth Thursday of each month, LegalLine, a free phone service is available to citizens seeking legal advice. By calling this service, residents of Tarrant County are able to get free advice about their legal situations.
