Greater Richmond Intellectual Property Law Association

Formed in 1996, the Greater Richmond Intellectual Property Law Association (GRIPLA) has committed itself to the development and promotion of the practice of intellectual property law in the Richmond region and maintaining a sense of community among its members and the intellectual property legal community in and around the city of Richmond. Though GRIPLA was established for the benefit of the intellectual property lawyers working in the greater Richmond area, anyone may join the Greater Richmond Intellectual Property Law Association so long as they are nominated by a member and voted in by a majority of the members. Law students are especially encouraged to join and are exempt from paying the mandatory dues.

The Greater Richmond Intellectual Property Law Association provides several benefits to its members. At least once a year, GRIPLA hosts a social event that allows for its members to network in a social atmosphere. Also, the Greater Richmond Intellectual Property Law Association puts on several speaker programs for its members throughout the year, including some that qualify for continuing legal education credits.
