Established in its current form in 1999, the Arkansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (AACDL) provides support for the attorneys of Arkansas that work in the legal practice area of criminal defense. As the main bar association serving Arkansas� criminal defense attorneys, the AACDL is also Arkansas� state affiliate chapter of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. In order to provide the criminal defense lawyers of Arkansas with excellent support, the Arkansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers only allows for Arkansas lawyers that do criminal defense to become members and expressly bars any criminal prosecutors from joining.
