Created in 1906, the Yellowstone Area Bar Association (YABA) exists to support the attorneys that work in Montana’s 13th Judicial District. The primary purposes of YABA are to foster fraternization among its members and to assist in the professional development of its members. In order to best focus its energy towards achieving these main goals, the Yellowstone Area Bar Association restricts membership to only the legal community of the greater Yellowstone region.

YABA strives to meet the professional needs of its members in many different ways. Members of the Yellowstone Area Bar Association enjoy a number of chances to network with others in the local legal community at a variety of social events that YABA sponsors throughout the year, including lunches and the annual meeting. The Yellowstone Area Bar Association advances the intellectual development of its members by arranging bimonthly speaker events at which members are able to acquire continuing legal education credits.
