Smith County Bar Association
The Smith County Bar Association was originally founded in 1933 and had an initial membership of about 80 legal professionals. Today, there are about 600 lawyers and other legal professionals that are members of the Smith County Bar Association, each of them dedicated to educating both the legal community as well as their neighbors.
LegalMatch is a great alternative to finding a lawyer through a Texas bar association. While bar associations require timely phone calls and in-person meetings with prospective Texas attorneys, LegalMatch is fast, free to use, and can be done entirely online. LegalMatch has operated in Texas since 2000 and currently has hundreds of attorneys all across Texas practicing in every area of law.
The members of the Smith County Bar Association run many programs each year, all designed to educate the public in Smith County about the legal system. In addition, these classes also cover areas such as civil rights as well as legal responsibilities. These members also take on additional challenges for the bar association and often donate many hours of their time to provide free legal services through the pro bono programs that the bar association runs.
