Waco-McLennand County Bar Association
First established in the late 1930s, the Waco-McLennan County Bar Association has a great reputation of service to the profession as well as the community. With over 500 members today, many of whom are very prominent in the legal profession, this bar association is ideally situated to help both its members and the community.
The Waco-McLennan County Bar Association is involved in many projects that benefit the community. For instance, Operation Eternal LAMP is a project that provides free legal services to families in the American military that were called into active duty as a result of the 9/11 attacks. In addition, the bar association also sponsors Settlement Week, which is held biannually. This event provides an opportunity for lawyers with pending litigation to have the cases given to a non-binding mediation session for a reduced fee. This can save the client loads of money and time spent in court.
LegalMatch is a great alternative to finding a lawyer through a Texas bar association. While bar associations require timely phone calls and in-person meetings with prospective Texas attorneys, LegalMatch is fast, free to use, and can be done entirely online. LegalMatch has operated in Texas since 2000 and currently has hundreds of attorneys all across Texas practicing in every area of law.
