Anchorage Association of Women Lawyers

Formed in the mid-1970s, the Anchorage Association of Women Lawyers (AAWL) strives to benefit the female lawyers based in the greater Anchorage area. AAWL is also committed to helping the women residents of Alaska. For example, the Anchorage Association of Women Lawyers collects donations for Alaskan women’s shelters.

In order to further the professional growth of its members, AAWL provides attorneys with a variety of useful programming, such as the quarterly lunchtime networking events. The Anchorage Association of Women Lawyers educates and informs its members of important topics that may affect them personally and professionally by regularly hosting continuing legal education seminars and other educational lectures.
