The Alaska Chapter of the Federal Bar Association serves the whole state of Alaska. The primary purposes of the Alaska Chapter are to foster the growth of the federal legal practice community of Alaska and further the professional development of its members. All active members of the Federal Bar Association that live or work in Alaska are permitted to join the Alaska Chapter.

There are a number of ways in which the Alaska Chapter of the Federal Bar Association benefits its members. Attorneys belonging to the Alaska Chapter are able to expand upon their legal knowledge within the practice area of the federal courts by attending continuing legal education seminars that the Alaska Chapter of the Federal Bar Association holds throughout the year. Once per month, the Alaska Chapter hosts a lunchtime meeting in order to give its members a chance to socialize and stay informed of the latest news concerning the local federal courts.
