Magic City Bar Association

The Magic City Bar Association (MCBA) was formed in 1984 by nine attorneys in order to fill the need for a professional legal organization that promoted the professional and educational advancement of African-American attorneys. The MCBA also supports the advancement of the civil and political rights of all citizens while upholding the honor and integrity of the legal profession.

Members of the Magic City Bar Association include judges, lawyers, and law students. The benefits that the MCBA offer include continuing legal education seminars, several volunteering opportunities, various networking events, and annual holiday parties. Through these events the organization promotes their goals and fosters discussions on the pressing civil rights issues in Alabama.
