Pima County is the second-largest county in Arizona. It is home to Tucson, Arizona’s second-largest city, and where almost all of Pima County’s population is centered.

The Pima County Bar Association represents the professional interests of its approximately 1500 members.

Their objectives, according to their mission statement, are to improve the quality of the practice of law, to support a strong, independent judicial system, to promote the highest standards of professional competence, and to increase public understanding of the law and legal profession, among many others.

To that end, the provide continuing legal education for attorneys, which is required in most states to keep one’s license to practice law in good standing, and it helps attorneys keep abreast of the newest developments in the law.

They also operate a lawyer referral service, giving members of the community a convenient place to find a large number of local attorneys who have voluntarily signed up for the service, indicating that they are interested in taking new cases.

Furthermore, the Pima County Bar Association runs the Qualified Income Legal Team (QUILT) program. This program offers legal services at a reduced fee for individuals and families who are “too rich” to qualify for free legal services, but cannot afford regular attorney fees.
