The Continental Divide Bar Association (CDBA) is an organization that is comprised of four counties that create the Fifth Judicial District in Colorado. The four counties are Clear Creek, Eagle, Lake, and Summit counties. The CDBA was formed in 1968 but was not incorporated until 2006. It currently boasts over 250 members and continues to grow at a rapid rate.

The Continental Divide Bar Association is comprised of magistrates, attorneys, judges, law students, and other legal professionals. Although many of the members are from the District Attorney’s Office and from the Office of the Public Defender, the majority of members are private attorneys who own small law firms or practice law on a solo basis.
