The goals of the association are to assist the courts in improving judicial proceedings, to protect the jury system, and to promote the art of speaking through advocacy. Since the association is composed of trial lawyers the organization feels a special obligation in upholding and preserving the judicial system.
The Florida Bar Trial Lawyers Section continually meets its goals by publishing and distributing the guidelines for professional conduct and holding ten continuing legal education seminars on a yearly basis. Furthermore, the organization sponsors mock trial competitions and holds a civil trial board certification review class on an annual basis.
