Lakeland Bar Association

The Lakeland Bar Association makes community service the center of its association. The organization finds that serving the public in Polk County a top priority and fulfills this goal through different events. The association provides volunteer opportunities for high school students, support for Florida Southern College’s Pre-Law program, and support for George Jenkins High Law Academy.

For its members, the organization provides networking events, holiday events, and a chance to participate in serving the community through its support of the Florida Rural Legal Services. Every the committee within the Lakeland Bar Association hosts a guest speaker during the monthly meetings that are for members only.

In its most recent activities, the organization began the process of forming its own Lakeland Bar Association Foundation. This foundation will have the goal of providing scholarships and grants within Polk County to encourage more individuals to consider joining the legal profession.
