The DuPage Association of Women Lawyers (DAWL) was established in 1980 by the Hon. Helen C. Kinney, DuPage County’s first female judge and assistant state attorney. While its membership has grown significantly since its humble beginnings, the DAWL has never lost sight of its purpose: to promote and foster the interests of women lawyers and preserving the dignity of the legal profession.

The DuPage Association of Women Lawyers does a lot of philanthropic work for the local community.’ It regularly host charitable fundraising events and donates money to local causes, such as clothing drives for women re-entering the workforce. The bar association also gives out scholarships to worthy law students in need each year.

Members of the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers are given the unique opportunity to socialize with like-minded lawyers. Because of the bar association’s dedicated membership base, its networking events offer great chances to truly connect with lawyers from all parts of the legal industry. In addition, the DAWL also bestows the Inspirational Woman Award to its most exceptional members.
