Essex County Bar Association

Created in 1806, the Essex County Bar Association is predominantly dedicated to maintaining a positive image of the legal profession in the eyes of the local community. To that end, the Essex County Bar Association provides opportunities for its members to reach out to the public in Essex County. A few of the opportunities that the Essex County Bar Association provides are a reduced fee panel for lawyer referrals, mediating positions for the local pretrial resolution program, and the lawyer for a day program at the Essex County’s probate and family courts.

The Essex County Bar Association also works to be beneficial to its members. Free membership for the rest of the fiscal year is provided to lawyers that have recently passed the Massachusetts Bar Exam. The Essex County Bar Association also provides a mentorship program to build professional relationships between newer and more experienced members and to improve the practice of law in Essex County.
