A unique feature of this organization is the Harford Foundation that was formed in 1991 and is dedicated to providing legal services to low-income individuals. The Harford County Bar Association also provides an attorney directory that members of the community can use to find legal assistance.

Membership in the Harford County Bar Association is open to attorneys licensed to practice in Maryland. Law student membership is available to students enrolled in ABA schools. To become a member you must mail in an application and pay an annual due of $70.00, but law student dues are reduced.
