The Prince George’s County Bar Association (PGCBA) was founded in 1902 and provides a forum for lawyers in this county of approximately 875,000 to network and develop professionally. The PGCBA’s mission is to ensure attorneys conduct themselves ethically by providing competent and zealous representation to the public. PGCBA also seeks to provide members of the public with access to the judicial system through their lawyer referral service.

The Prince George’s County Bar Association provides numerous features and benefits for their members. The PGCBA offers activities such as CLE credits, seminars, and a monthly newsletter. The Prince George’s County Bar Association also offers unique features such as access to the lawyer’s lounge in the courthouse, courthouse parking permits, a conference room for depositions, a traffic school, and a crisis hotline for member attorneys to contact.

General membership is open to members of the Bar of the Court of Appeals of Maryland, but memberships are also open to law students and paralegals. To become a member of Prince George’s County Bar Association you must fill out an application and pay an annual due, which ranges from $45 for law students, $50 for newly admitted attorneys, $125 for attorneys with between two and five years of practice, and $150 for attorneys who have been licensed for more than five years.
