The
Minnesota American Indian Bar Association (MAIBA)
is a fast growing bar association that consists of American Indian attorneys, officers who work at tribal courts, and law students. Those who are interested in Indian law are also encouraged to join the bar association. The MAIBA was incorporated in February of 1992 and is well recognized and respected within Minnesota for its achievements in standing up for the rights of American Indians.

For its members, the Minnesota American Indian Bar Association provides networking opportunities, continuing legal education, and scholarship opportunities for American Indian law students. Furthermore, the bar association has several committees such as the continuing legal education committee, student recruitment committee, and the social events committee. The bar association’s most anticipated yearly event is its annual golf tournament fundraiser which all members are encouraged to be a part of.
