Mississippi Women Lawyers Association

The Mississippi Women Lawyers Association (MWLA) was founded in 1976 and has celebrated the advancement of women into leadership positions in the legal field. The MWLA has over 1500 attorneys as members and is growing at a rapid pace. In order to continue this goal of supporting women lawyers, the MWLA provides free continuing legal education programming, e-newsletters, a bi-annual journal, and many networking opportunities.

In order to stay in touch with communities throughout Mississippi, the Mississippi Women Lawyers Association has local chapters in almost every Mississippi county and even in some larger cities. These chapters assist the MWLA in reaching out to women attorneys in rural as well as urban areas and provide them with the opportunities to advance their practice.
