Created in 2011, the Eastern District of North Carolina Chapter of the Federal Bar Association covers a geographic region that includes the forty-four easternmost counties of North Carolina. The primary goals of the Eastern District of North Carolina Chapter are to promote the furtherance of the Federal legal profession and the jurisprudence of the Federal courts in North Carolina’s Eastern District. By limiting the membership to only Federal Bar Association members that choose to be active in the chapter, the Eastern District of North Carolina Chapter is able to focus all of its efforts into enhancing the professional skills and work lives of those practicing in the Eastern District of the state.

There are numerous ways that the Eastern District of North Carolina Chapter of the Federal Bar Association aids its members in advancing their careers. Attorneys that belong to the Eastern District of North Carolina Chapter are given the opportunity to network with one another and stay informed of the latest news in the local Federal legal community by attending the semiannual meetings that the chapter holds. Members are also able to stay on top of the latest developments of the Federal legal practice through learning about the newest developments in different Federal practice areas at the continuing legal education courses that the Eastern District of North Carolina Chapter hosts throughout the year.
