Established in 2009, the Western District of North Carolina Chapter of the Federal Bar Association (FBA Western District of NC) exists to provide support to the Federal Bar Associations members that practice in the westernmost part of North Carolina. The primary goals of the FBA Western District of NC are to encourage the continual development of professionalism in the federal practice in North Carolina’s Western District and to ensure that its members remain informed of the newest developments within the federal practice community in the Western District. Membership for the Western District of North Carolina Chapter is available only to those members of the Federal Bar Association that either work or reside in the jurisdiction of the Western District of North Carolina.

The FBA Western District of NC regularly hosts events to promote the professional advancement of its members. Lawyers belonging to the Western District of North Carolina Chapter are able to network with one another and local members of the federal judiciary at the annual chapter dinner. Members of the FBA Western District of NC have the opportunity to learn about the newest case law in different practice areas of the federal court when they attend the mid-year meeting.
