Find a Lawyer Now!The North Carolina Creditors Bar Association (NCCBA) exists to provide support for lawyers in North Carolina that represent creditors. The most significant goals of the NCCBA are to promote and advance the practice of creditors’ rights law in North Carolina, to inform the public about the legal side of consumer and commercial collection industry, to further the rights of those engaged in the collection industry, and to provide a community for North Carolina attorneys engaged in representing creditors. In order to best serve the legal community that is devoted to protecting creditors’ rights, the North Carolina Creditors Bar Association restricts membership to only those North Carolina lawyers that spend at least one quarter of their time representing creditors in various collection-related legal actions.
Members of the NCCBA receive many benefits by joining. The North Carolina Creditors Bar Association regularly involves its members in its legislative lobbying by sending out annual legislative agendas and inviting members to make comments on the current efforts and future plans with regard to creditor legislation. Attorneys belonging to the NCCBA are encouraged to become involved in the organization by being active members of the North Carolina Creditors Bar Association’s various committees that meet monthly, such as the governmental affairs committee and the education committee.
