The Burlington County Bar Association currently has around 200 active members. It is a private organization with voluntary membership, so there are probably significantly more lawyers in Burlington County than there are members of the Burlington County Bar Association. Burlington County is located in central New Jersey and currently has a population of over 400,000 people.

The Burlington County Bar Association seeks to serve its members and the community by providing membership benefits enhancing its members’ ability to effectively practice law, to improve the administration of justice by advancing the art of advocacy and the independence of the judiciary, and to serve the public by promoting a better public understanding of the legal system, facilitating the delivery of quality legal services, and promoting equal access to the legal system for all.

The Bar Association also operates a lawyer referral service, allowing clients easy access to a large pool of practicing attorneys, and allowing paying attorney-members to increase their visibility and client base.

In addition to this, they offer a scholarship program for law students with demonstrated financial need who are residents of Burlington County.
