Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association

Established in 1978, the Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association (NNWLA) was founded in order to promote women in the legal profession in Northern Nevada at a time when there were only 23 women practicing law in this section of the state. While the focus of the Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association is on female lawyers, both male and female attorneys may join as members as long as they are dedicated to advancing and supporting women in Northern Nevada’s legal community. Additionally, the Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association and its members work to improve the administration of justice for women living and working in the northern part of Nevada.

The NNWLA frequently hosts events for its members and for the general public. Members of the Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association are able to connect and socialize with one another at the many social events, including happy hour get-togethers and holiday parties. The Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association also ensures that its members and the general community in Northern Nevada remain informed on various legal issues that women regularly face by frequently hosting discussions and lectures on these subjects that are open to the public, but are discounted for members.
