The New York Criminal & Civil Courts Bar Association was founded in 1893 and claims to have always strived and worked for justice for all American people. The bar association was once described as a “crusading bar association when others were straightlaced and never involved in controversy.”

The New York Criminal & Civil Courts Bar Association claims to have caused the filing of anit-Segregation petitions in Alabama courts, and to have freed a man from prison after he had spent 7 years behind bars for a forgery he ultimately did not commit. More recently, the bar association also claims to have challenged the Yankee Stadium Rehabilitation Project for a lack of planning as well as going over budget by at least $300 million.
