The Wood County Bar Association is a voluntary bar organization whose mission is to provide attorneys in Wood County with opportunities to network, develop professionally, and assist with providing legal services to members of the community. The Wood County Bar Association also provides mentorship for young attorneys in an effort to ensure the public receives solid legal representation.

 

The Wood County Bar Association has several features including CLE’s, committees designed to advance the skill of member attorneys in legal specialties, and providing an attorney referral service to the public. The Wood County Bar Association also provides pro bono legal services to individuals who cannot afford legal representation. This organization is also proud to support law day and hosts an essay contests for local students to participate in and the winner is awarded $300.

 

To become a member of the Wood County Bar Association you must be a licensed member of the Ohio State Bar. You must also fill out a membership application and pay an annual due which ranges from $0 for newly admitted attorneys to $50 for attorneys who have been licensed to practice law for more than six years.
