Oregon Asian Pacific American Bar Association

The Oregon Asian Pacific American Bar Association (OAPABA) has over 100 members. Members include judges, lawyers, law students, and paralegals throughout the state. The goals of OAPABA include advocacy, advancement of Asian Pacific Americans in the legal profession, and communication through networking events. In order to fulfill one of those goals the association often collaborates with other Asian Pacific American Bar Associations in neighboring states in order to provide vast networking opportunities for its members.

The Oregon Asian Pacific American Bar Association was initially formed to address the concerns of the Asian Pacific American community within Oregon after attorneys began to notice that there was little to no representation of the Asian Pacific community. Together, legal professionals discuss the legal matters facing the Asian Pacific community within Oregon and find solutions to those problems.
