Pennsylvania Defense Institute

The Pennsylvania Defense Institute was organized in 1969 and is one of the largest organizations of its kind in the United States. It boasts over 1,000 members who are made up of executives of insurance companies, independent adjusters, lawyers, and self-insurers. One of the most important goals of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute is to eliminate court congestion and delays in civil litigation.

In order to meet this goal the Pennsylvania Defense Institute encourages members to meet and find innovative ideas in addressing the issue of court congestion. Through a collegial environment towards a common goal the association hopes to address many of the issues the court systems in Pennsylvania face today.
