Find a Lawyer Now!The South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association (SCBLA) was created to encourage the continuing education of lawyers that are currently practicing federal bankruptcy law in the jurisdiction of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina. Any attorney that is licensed to practice law may become a member of SCBLA. However, discounted membership rates are offered to government employees and to attorneys that work for non-profit organizations that are funded at least partially by the Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts or the Legal Service Corporation.
There are several ways that the SCBLA manages to promote further legal education among South Carolina bankruptcy lawyers while building a sense of community among them. Each year, attorneys that belong to the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association are able to network and socialize with one another at the annual SCBLA holiday party. Members of the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association are given several opportunities to expand their knowledge base each month because the SCBLA hosts at least ten continuing legal education courses for its members per month.
