Covering the northernmost part of Virginia, the Northern Virginia Chapter of the Federal Bar Association (NOVA) is made up of members of the Federal Bar Association that either live or work in the Alexandria Division of the Eastern District of Virginia. The Northern Virginia Chapter of the Federal Bar Association exists for the betterment of the professional lives of member attorneys practicing in the federal courts in the Alexandria Division. NOVA is also dedicated to maintaining a strong sense of community among its members, which it achieves through social get-togethers such as the annual golf tournament.

The Northern Virginia Chapter of the Federal Bar Association helps its members stay on top of changes occurring in the practice of federal law through a number of different ways. NOVA regularly puts on continuing legal education courses for its members. Additionally, the Northern Virginia Chapter of the Federal Bar Association’s quarterly newsletter is full of articles on the practice of law and summaries of important cases that have recently been decided.
