Formed in 1959, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (VTLA) is dedicated to both furthering the skills and professional education of its members and to informing the public of the role of the trial lawyer.� Anyone that is licensed to practice law in Virginia may join, but the majority of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association�s members spend the majority of their practice engaged in litigation.� Legal assistants and paralegals that work for litigation attorneys are encouraged by the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association to join as allied members.
