The Federal Bar Association of the Western District of Washington has been in existence since 1977 and maintains approximately 700 members. This organizations mission is to promote the highest standards of competence and ethics of attorneys appearing in the Federal District Court and Federal Court of Appeals. The organization also encourages different methods of dispute resolution as well as focusing on the representation of indigent individuals.

The Federal Bar Association of the Western District of Washington hosts quarterly meetings for officers, trustees, and committee chairs. This organization maintains fourteen committees including an appellate committee, pro bono committee, and bankruptcy committee. They offer multiple CLE opportunities and access to the attorney lounge in Federal courts.

Membership dues are free for newly admitted attorneys, $50 for attorneys who have been practicing between 3-9 years, and $60 for attorneys practicing over 10 years.
