The Vietnamese American Bar Association of Washington (VABAW) is an organization that was formed in 2005 and seeks to assist in the professional development of Vietnamese attorneys. This association also serves as a voice of the Vietnamese legal community in Washington.

The Vietnamese American Bar Association of Washington hosts banquets, conventions, and participates in a judicial rating of local judges. This organization also sponsors the Hồng Đức Clerkship Program which offers one law student the opportunity to practice law in Vietnam each summer. The VABAW also provides a directory of Vietnamese attorneys and collaborates with national organizations such as the National Conference of Vietnamese American Attorneys.

To become a member of the Vietnamese-American Bar Association of Washington you must be admitted to practice law in any United States Jurisdiction or be currently enrolled in an ABA law school. Membership is free for law students, and $50 a year for judges, solo practitioners, and public sector attorneys. Annual fees for private attorneys working in law firms of less than 40 employees are $75.00 per year and $100.00 per year for attorneys working in firms with 40 or more employees.
