Legal Association for Women

Established in 1974, the Legal Association for Women (LAW) was created to support the female attorneys working in the greater Madison area. The primary goals of LAW are to further equality for everyone, help women advance in the legal profession, and promote the legal profession in the local community. While the main focus of the Legal Association for Women is on aiding female lawyers, anyone may join as long as they are committed to the association’s goals.

LAW is committed to furthering the professional development of its members. Attorneys belonging to the Legal Association for Women often attend the monthly meetings in order to obtain continuing legal education credits. Law also regularly works with other organizations to co-host events for its members, such as judicial candidates’ forums and social events.
