Wisconsin Hispanic Lawyers Association

Formed in the early 1980s, the Wisconsin Hispanic Lawyers Association (WHLA) exists to provide support for the Hispanic American attorneys working in Wisconsin. The WHLA is also dedicated to helping out the Hispanic community of Wisconsin at large. An important way that the Wisconsin Hispanic Lawyers Association assists Wisconsin’s Hispanic residents is by testifying before state legislative committees about legislation that would have a serious impact on the local Hispanic community.

Members of the WHLA have their professional lives enhanced in a number of ways. Lawyers that are members of the Wisconsin Hispanic Lawyers Association can use the listserv to reach out to other members in order to seek help and advice from more experienced members. The WHLA also gives its members an opportunity to network and socialize with one another at the meetings that it holds every other month.
